When looking at bio and cultural diversity it isn't to hard to see that one person is different from the other. In the wide spectrum of what we see in the world, things change quicker than we can often react. After many years of cultural diversity we are seeing a rapid decrease in the mix of cu lutes found in our world. Now, more than ever the world needs to learn to embrace the different cultures that make up our world because its those different culture that define what it means to be culturally diverse. I do not think that politicians should play a major role in protecting the biosphere because i believe that politicians never truly achieve anything, they just postpone the problem until someone else can take over.
I believe that politicians in any country no matter where you go do not achieve much. All they do is make light of problems and they then proceed to use a bunch of fancy words and legislation that they say will provide change. This is not an effective way to secure the many cultures throughout the world. Another reason why politicians shouldn't be involved is because they are often the ones running these cultures into the ground. If you look at Japan or Ecuador, or Brazil, and even in the United States, the large government entity has always taken over land for themselves. The United States forcibly took Indians away from their homes during the westward movement. Many Indian tribes were killed off and along with them their traditions and knowledge. The same thing is happening all over the world. We look at these tribes as being less advanced or primitive and we believe they are far less superior to us. That is wrong. These small tribes are just following in their ancestors footsteps as best they can in an adapting world. Politicians aren't going to bring about any change because they cant level with the tribes or clans that are going extinct.
There are many doubters to what I am saying. One argument is that the world should all be on the same page. Same language,currency, and religion. Where is the fun in that? What makes the world great is that in al the different views we can often find common ground with someone. I could be a muslim and have sometihng in common with someone from the middle east, or I could know some traditions of another race and be able to fit right in. Its that feeling of having something bigger than yourself that makes the world go around. If we were all cookie cutter images of each other, the world would forever lose the one thing that makes us great. Diversity.
